Red Tide Update:
The Florida Department of Health in Franklin County (DOH-Franklin) is notifying the public of a red tide bloom near the St. George Island Lighthouse Beach and another location in between Tally Ho Road and Veronica's Way (Bob Sikes Cut) Some people may have mild and short-lived respiratory symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation similar to cold symptoms. Some individuals with breathing problems such as asthma might experience more severe symptoms. Usually symptoms go away when a person leaves the area or goes indoors. Health officials recommend that people experiencing these symptoms go into an air conditioned space. If symptoms do not subside, please contact your health care provider for evaluation.

It is back to business here on the Island. Here are new procedures you can expect from us.
Homes with keyless entry will continue to remote check in. Your code is issued from 7 to 10 days prior to arrival via an email from us. Your code will not become active until the property has been properly disinfected and released by all departments.
Our Check In Center Lobby and Drive Through will be open for guests that need to stop by the office. For late arrivals, our lock box on the front porch will have your key like always.
If you need anything during your stay, please call our office. We offer extra linens and miscellaneous small kitchen items here at the office. This summer we’ll be happy to set up a limited or no contact delivery of what you need.
When calling our office for a maintenance issue, we will troubleshoot over the phone first to limit interaction with our employees. If a phone call does not work or you have an emergency situation that cannot wait until the house is vacant, we will have procedures set up to address your maintenance issue by appointment, preferably while you are out of the house or by using social distancing guidelines.
Please know that we will be spending more time between guests cleaning and disinfecting. On the same note, we have always advertised high season check in times at 6pm. Please expect later check in times as we spend more time sanitizing between guests.
Although we will be thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting our properties after each departure, our properties do not come with daily cleaning services. We recommend that you bring your own disinfectant products to clean and sanitize surfaces daily during your stay just as you would your own home. This includes tables, doorknobs, light switches, countertops, faucets, and sinks.
St. George Plantation Update:
The St. George Plantation has limited access to their amenities at this time.
· The community pool at Resort Village and on Magnolia Drive is open with normal hours and capacity with furniture placed in intervals to practice social distancing. The pool side restrooms are open during pool hours with cleaning twice a day, sanitizing wipes and dispensers for public use.
· Fitness center is open with a 4 person maximum limit at one time. There is a 1 hour time limit with 48 hour advance reserved time.
· Pickle ball and Tennis courts are open.

As you know, we have removed comforters and throw pillows and your beds will now be triple sheeted. Many of you have decided that you would like to receive your linens in a sealed bag so that you can make beds yourself. We are happy to report that this option will be available to back to back rentals only if reserved in advance. As properties are cleaned, beds will be made, unless you specifically request to have bagged linens provided. We have been working diligently to triple sheet all homes while they have been vacant so if you are the first guest to arrive, your beds will be made. If you would like to have bagged linens provided and make your own beds, please contact our office and let us know as soon as possible. You must have your reservation number, date of arrival and property you have reserved when you call, text or email. Please send this information with a note: DO NOT MAKE BEDS, PROVIDE LINEN ONLY.
We know that property cleanliness will be more important than ever when you are able to visit us. All beds will be triple sheeted prior to your arrival with fresh clean linen. Comforters, shams and throw pillows have been removed. Between each guest, our housekeepers will also sanitize and disinfect all areas, including bathrooms and high touch points with chemicals that contain and prevent the spread of harmful bacteria and viruses per CDC and OSHA guidelines. High-touch points in your property include, but are not limited to:
· Light switches, outlets, lamp and fan pull-chains and switches
· Cabinet pulls and knobs
· Controls for large appliance and electronics (washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove)
· Temperature controls
· Bureau drawer knobs or pull
· Remote Controls
· Stair railings and outdoor porch railings
At our laundry facility, we have 4 commercial washers and dryers that professionally sanitize all linens and towels. We launder, fold and pack over 18,000 pieces of laundry each summer week. Housekeepers will change out all linen between each guest. Soiled linens are treated as if they are contaminated when they enter the laundry and are kept separate from any clean, packed linen, reducing risk of cross-contamination into our clean space.
